MARHOOM PARENTS

Allah S.W.T. emphasizes the worth and importance of parents at various places in the Holy Qur'an. It is enough for the wise person to realize this when he observes that the obedience of parents is mentioned side by side with the worship of Allaah. It is also authentically mentioned that if your parents are not pleased with you all your worship and good deeds are gone waste, they don't have any value. And it is not limited for the living parents only but even if they are dead you must remember them by praying for them, attributing some good deeds to them, and rectifying their faults (if any) in a proper way. Perhaps at the time of departure from the world the parents were not pleased at heart with their children, but if the children give due attention to their parents' well-being in the Hereafter by some good deeds, they become pleased to them.

The world that is five feet under the earth is certainly a dreadful place for the sinners. Although we should consider that all are pious and righteous but one never knows in what condition there the diseased is. Perhaps they are enjoying the fruits of their good deeds and perhaps they are in trouble because of some lapse during their lifetime.

So if we perform any good deed on their behalf or offer a Namaaz for them they surely are benefited by it, and it is said that our 2 rak'at Namaaz for the Marhoom is better for them then the riches of the whole world. If they are not in any trouble there then the bounties are increased for them and if they are in any tribulation then their pain is lessened or wiped off. Moresover, the performer of good deed is also to be rewarded.

Some A'amaal for the benefit of diseased parents

Here below are stated some A'amaal for the benefit of diseased parents, although they are said to benefit them but the performer of these A'amaal are also nicely rewarded.

Especially on every Friday-night and on Friday children of the Marhoom should pray for their parents and give charity on their behalf.

1. Reciting Surah-e-Yaaseen is very beneficent for the Marhoom. He/she is tremendously rewarded for it.

2. If one recites Surah-e-Mulk or 7 times Surah-e-Qadr by the side of Marhoom's grave, God-forbid if any punishment is being implemented therein, it is instantly ceased.

3. Whenever you wish you can pray 2 rak'at Namaaz for Marhoom( Namaz Hadiya e waledain) , it gives a great joy to the diseased.

4. On Friday-night (Shabe Jumma) or on any day you may pray 2 rak'at Namaaz between Maghrib and Ishaa with Niyyat of Maghfirat-e-Waalidayn;
------------------------------------
Method of Namaz e maghfirat e waledain
Two Rakat Namaz.
In First Rakat Recite Al-Hamd and Then Ten Times..

Rabbigh Firlee Waliwaalidayya Walil Mu'mineena Yawma Yaqoomul Hisaab.

(= My Lord, forgive me and my parents and all believers on the Day of Judgement.)

And in the second rak'at after Al-Hamd recite 10 times

Rabbigh Firlee Waliwaalidayya WalimanDakhala Baytiya Mu'minan Walil Mu'mineena Wal Mu'minaat.

(= O my Lord forgive me and my parents and the believer men and women who enter my abode. )

Then complete the Namaaz as usual...

Then go into Sajdah and recite 10 times-

Rabbir Hamhuma Kamaa Rabbayaani Swagheera.

( = My Lord be compassionate to them as they were to me when I was small.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Some Tasbeeh of Salawaat and Istighfaar should be offered on behalf of Marhoomeen every now and then.

6. Pray 2 rak'at Namaaz for the benefit of Marhoom, in the first rak'at after Al-Hamd recite Surah-e-Qadr and in the second recite Surah-e-Kawthar.

7. There is another Namaaz also for Marhoom. It is 2 rak'at, in the first rak'at after Al-Hamd recite once Aayatul Kursee and Surah-e-Ikhalaas 2 times and in the second rak'at after Al-Hamd recite Surah-e- Takaasur 10 times. This also carries a great reward for Marhoom and the reciter also.

8. If at all, unfortunately, the son or the daughter did not fulfill the rights of their parent during their lifetime, then they should pray this Namaaz. InshaaAllaah the Marhoom parents shall be pleased with them: -

Time: on the night between Wednesday and Thursday. In between Maghrib and Ishaa.

Niyyat: Fulfillment of the rights of my parent(s).

Namaaz; 2 rak'at.

In each rak'at after Al-Hamd recite

5 times Aayatul Kursee,
5 times Surah-e-Ikhlaas,
5 times Surah-e-Kaafiroon,
5 times Surah-e-Falak, and
5 times Surah-e-Naas.
After you finish praying the Namaaz in this way

recite 15 times Astaghfirullaaha Wa Atoobu Ilayh. ( = I turn repentantly towards Allaah. )

Dedicate the Sawaab of this A'amaal to the Marhoom parent and you shall get the reward of fulfilling their rights.

9. If at all, you suspect that there were some wrong transactions committed by your parents so you would naturally wish that they should not be punished for that. Therefore its remedy is that first you should try to rectify if possible, try to make the wronged pepople be pleased with your parents by recompensing some thing that they would appreciate,

and then observe this prayer on behalf of your parents:-

Pray 4 rak'ar Namaaz in sets if 2 rak'at each.

In the 1st rak'st after Al-Hamd

recite Surah-e- Ikhlaas 25 times,

in the 2nd rak'at 50 times,

in the3 rak'at 75 times

and in the 4 th rak'at 100 times.

After Namaaz recite this Duaa:

Allaahumma Swalli Ala Muhammadin Wa Aali Muhammad, Bismil-Laahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem. Yaa Nooras Samaawaati Wal Ardhi Wa Yaa Ghawthal Mustagheetheen, Yaa Jaaral Mustajeereena Antal Munzalu Bika Kullu Haajatin Astaghfiru Atoobu Ilayka Mim-madhaalimi Katheeratin Li Ibaadika Qablee Allaahumma Fa Ayyu Maa Abdim Min Ibaadika Aw Amatin Min Imaaika Kaanat Lahoo Qablee Madhlimatun Dhwalamtuhaa Ayyahu Fee Nafsihee Aw Fee Ardhihee Aw Fee Maalihee Aw Fee Ahlihee Wa Waladihee Aw Gheebatun Ightabtahoo Bihaa Aw Tahammulin Alayhi Bimaylin Aw Hawan Aw Anfatin Aw Hamiyyatin Aw Riyaain Aw Asabiyyatin Ghiyaaban Kaana Aw Shaahidan Wa Hayyan Kaana Aw Mayyitan Fa Qasurat Yadee Wa Dhwaaqa Wus'ee Aw Ruddahaa Ilayhi Wat-Tahallulee Minhoo Fa As'aluka Yaa Man Yamlikul Haajata Wa Hiya Mustajeebatun Li Mashiyyatihee Wa Musriatun Ilaa Iraadatihee An Tuswallee Alaa Muhammadin Wa Aali Muhammad Wa An Turdhiyahoo Aniyy Bimaa Shi'ta Min Khazaaini Rahmatika Thumma Tahaba Lee Min Ladunka Rahmatan Innahoo Laa Tanqusukal Maghfiratu Walaa Tadhurrukal Moohibatoo Rabbi Akrimnee Birahmatika Walaa Tukhzinee Bi Dhunoobee Innaka Waasiul Maghfiratee Yaa Arhamar-Raahimeen Allaahuma Swalli Alaa Muhammadin Wa Aali Muhammmad.

( = O Light of the heavens and the earth, O Helper of the caller for help, O Refuge for those seeking protection, all requests are forwarded to You, I repent and turn towards You, for I have done harm to Your servents many times, O my Allaah, from among Thy servents many men and women have been oppressed or tyrannized by me, either bodily damage, or to the good name, property, kith and kin, children, or have been slandered or wronged, or have been made to suffer regarding partiality, or passion, envy, anger, hypocrisy, prejudice, in their absence, or presence, alive or dead. My efforts leg behind and my means grow mean to amend the excesses I committed. Therefore I beseech Thee O Upholder of requests; they obey Thy will and are ready to agree with Thy decree. Send Your Blessings on Muhammad S.A.W.W. and bring us (me and the wronged one) into harmony with each other. If it pleases You let me have my share from the treasures of Your Mercy. Verily pardoning incur no loss to You. Nor is favour against Your policy. O Lord, mercifully show kindness to me and do not put me to shame for my sins. Verily Thou art a liberal Pardoner. O the Most Merciful. Allaahumma Swalli Alaa Muhammadin Wa Aali Muhammad.)

Bathing on Friday

Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (S.A.W.W) said:

"O Ali! People must bathe [at least] once every seven days, so bathe every Friday, even if you have to buy the water with [the money set aside for] your provision of that day and go without food, for there is no recommended act of worship greater than it."

Excellence Of Ameerul Momeneen Ali Ibn Abi talib(as)

When Khalil bin Ahmad was asked about Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib’s (a.s.) virtues, he responded, “How can I describe the merits of the one whose merits were concealed by his enemies out of envy and by his friends for fear of their lives. Despite this, the east and the west bear testimony to his virtues.”[1]

Scream of Shaytan

Some of the human acts are so much unpleasant upon the Satan that he began to cry and lament and with uneasiness he gets weak and feeble. Please pay your attention to this story.

One day Satan was standing in a corner of Masjid ul Haram and the Messenger of God Muhammad SAWW was busy in the circumambulation Tavaf of the kaaba. When the messenger was finished his tavaf observed the Iblis pale and thin standing in a corner.

The Messenger SAWW told him: O cursed one, what happened to you that you became so much feeble and sick.

He said: Your nation had burnt and killed me. The great Prophet SAWW asked: What have they did to you? he said: O Messenger SAWW of God! They have some of the good characters that I wanted to snatch them but I could not.

The Prophet SAWW said: What are conducts that they made you so much upset.

Satan replied: Their first manner is when ever they meet each other they greet with salam. It is one of the name of God and who ever greets salam the Almighty God save him from all the sorrows and misfortunes.

And the one who responds the salam the Benevolent God brings him under the shadow of his kindness.

Secondly when they meet each other they shake hands. it has so much rewards from the God that as soon as they leave the hands, the omnipotent God takes them in the lap of his kindness.

Thirdly while starting to eat the food and any other task they recite and they made me away from their food and accompaning them.

Fourthly whenever they talk they sayand they are contented with the decision of God.I can not spoil there toils and efforts. They waste all my efforts and hardwork.

5thly- From morning till evening I try my best to drag them into the sins. as evening comes they repent and all my efforts go in vain and the Almighty God forgives their sins.

6thly- The most important of every thing is, when they hear your name they send blessings to you with a loud voice. As I know the rewards of salavat and I run away from them with annoyance, due to the fact that I cannot sight the bounties of salavat.

7th- When they sight your family, they love them and this is their best deed.

Then the Prophet SAWW turned towards his companions and said: The one who acquires all these qualities is among the people of Paradise.

Duty

1– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Know that what you have been commanded to do is little and its reward is a lot. Even if there had been no fear of punishment for revolt and disobedience, which Allah has prohibited, the reward in refraining from them would be enough [incentive] to abstain from pursuing them.’[Nahj al-Balagha, Letter 51]

2– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Allah, glory be to Him, ordered His servants by choice and forbade them by warning. He made duties easy and did not order hard duties. For a little He gives plenty, He is not defeatingly disobeyed nor is He obeyed by force. He did not send prophets playfully, nor did He reveal the Book to creation in amusement. He did not create the Heavens and the earth in vain: "That is a conjecture of the faithless. So woe to the faithless for the Fire!" [Qur’an 38:27] [al-Kafi, v. 2, p. 463, no. 2]

Allah Does Not Task Any Soul beyond Its Capacity
3– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Nine things have been forgiven to my community: the mistake, forgetfulness, that which they do not know, that which they cannot bear, that which they are forced to do, that which they are compelled to do, the evil omen, [Satan’s] insinuations in thinking about [the origin of] creation, and jealousy that is not manifest on the tongue or the hand.’[al-Kafi, v. 2, p. 463, no. 2]

4– Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘Creation was never ordered outside of their capability, for whatever people were ordered to do they are capable of doing, and whatever they are not capable of doing does not apply to them.’[al-Tawhid, p. 347, no. 6]

The Last Will of Imām Sādiq (A.S.)

25th - Shawwal al Mukarram

Deepest condolences to to the Holy Prophet Mohammad (saww), his Ahl-e-Bait (as), Imam-e-Zamana (as) & all lovers of Ahl-e-Bait (as) on the Death Anniversary of Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sādiq (A.S.)

---

After the martyrdom of Imām Sādiq (A.S.), I (Abu Basir) went to his (A.S.) house to pay my condolences to his wife Hamidah. Upon seeing me, she began to weep and I wept as well. Then she said:
Abu Basir! If you were here on the last moments of Imām Sādiq's (A.S.) life, you would have witnessed something extraordinary. What is that? I asked. She answered: It was in the last moments of the Imām's life when he opened his blessed eyes and said: Gather all of my family and relatives now and bring them to me! Thus, we gathered every one of the relatives until no-one was left. He turned to them and then

Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sādiq (A.S.) said:

"We will not intercede for those who belittle (does not give much importance to) Salat"

[Reference: Bihar al-Anwar , vol. 6, p. 154 ,and vol. 4, p. 297, narrated by Abu Basir]
